EU: European Parliament adopts draft directive on extra-financial reporting
Today, April 15, the European Parliament adopted the compromise reached with the Council of EU Ministers on the draft directive on the disclosure of non-financial information and data regarding diversity in businesses. These new measures, which aim to improve transparency and social responsibility, focus on corporate policies on matters affecting the environment, personnel, compliance with human rights and fight against corruption. The Council will formally endorse the text in a the coming weeks. The Member States will have 2 years to transpose it into national law.
