The declaration, signed on 12 October, sets out ways of best managing the effects of digitalisation in the economy and harnessing the opportunities it offers.
According to the signatories of the text*, digitalisation will lead to a greater need for “flexibility, open-mindedness, agility and resilience in the workplace”, as well as to more “specialisation”. There is no desire to overturn existing regulations, with the signatories recognising that existing labour law “gives a good basis for the digitalised working world”.
