In a joint declaration on April 4, the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) and the European Centre of Enterprises with Public Participation and of Enterprises of General economic Interest (CEEP) want to be closely linked with European policy on climate and energy. A significant step was taken with the European Commission publishing, on January 24, the climate change and energy package. (Ref. 080277)
