On April 2, in a letter sent to Vladimir Spidla, European Commissioner in charge of Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities, the three European employers' organizations – BusinessEurope, CEEP and the UEAPME – announced that they intended to negotiate about the revision of the 1994 directive on EWCs.
