Whereas two German groups in the building sector signed agreements to create or renew EWCs, the French group Bouygues, also present in this sector launched the negotiation of a new agreement after a litigation which invalidated the agreement set up previously. Other negotiations are running at Consolis, Cemex and Spie. (Ref. 070941)
Bilfinger Berger. The German company Bilfinger Berger Industrial Services (BIS – building and maintenance for industrial facilities), part of the group Bilfinger Berger, established a EWC agreement on august 30, 2007. The company (50.000 employees), has 22 facilities in Germany and is present in 15 EU Member States and in Switzerland. The council will be competent for decisions concerning the employees of at least two Member States and will then have to be informed and consulted.
