A few months after that of European social partners in the electric sector, the trade union organizations EPSU and EMCEF and the employers' federation Eurogas signed a joint declaration calling for the development of the social dimension in the Energy Community. Since the end of 2007, this Community, which aims at extending the internal energy market to South East Europe, includes a special chapter which European social partners want to guarantee.
