textile social partners will officially launch the first European Sector Skills Council. Trade should follow, and many other sectors (automotive, chemistry, steel, construction…) also want to commit to create these Councils. Initiated by the European Commission in 2010, the creation of these multi-party structures should help anticipate needs in terms of employment and skills and improve the coordination of existing training and education programs in Europe.
