EU: MEPs want to tackle the gender pay gap

In 2023, women in the EU still earned on average 12% less per hour than men. In a report presented to the European Parliament’s Employment and Social Affairs Committee on 29 September, two MEPs urged the European Commission to put forward a new equality strategy and a targeted action plan.
