Both Framework Directive 89/391/EEC (measures to encourage improvements in the safety and health of workers at work) and Directive 2004/37/EC (protection of workers from the risks related to exposure to carcinogens or mutagens at work) set out workers’ occupational health and safety principles. …EU: new limits to be set for worker exposure to chemicals agents
The European Commission is building on past efforts to protect workers exposed to carcinogens and mutagens in the workplace. On 10 January the European Commission presented a series of measures aimed at completing those put forward in May 2016 when it set exposure limits to thirteen chemicals agents. At the same time the Commission is promoting new measures to modernize European legislation on occupational health and safety (OSH) in Europe.
