EU: Parliament’s Committee on Employment and Social Affairs adopts resolution on transnational agreements
On June 20, the Parliament’s Committee on Employment and Social Affairs adopted the report presented by Thomas Händel from the Confederal Group of the European United Left - Nordic Green Left (GUE/NGL) on “cross-border collective bargaining and transnational social dialogue.” This report defends the need for an optional framework for the negotiation of European framework agreements and promotes the role played by European trade union federations – and EWCs – as legitimate parties to negotiate these agreements.
