EU: report on draft directives on seasonal workers and intragroup posting for extra-Community workers
Extra-Community seasonal workers may now enjoy decent working and living conditions, such as minimum wage and adequate housing, by virtue of the compromise adopted by the Parliament and the Council of EU Ministers on the draft directive on the entry and residence of this category of workers. These regulations aim to keep these temporary stays from becoming permanent. This bill is parallel to the draft directive on intragroup posted workers, which aims to simplify and facilitate transfers within a multinational enterprise of non-EU skilled workers, which should be adopted in the spring 2014.
