EU: Spanish Parliament opposed to the draft working time directive

The Spanish Parliament sent to European Parliamentary groups the text, voted unanimously in Madrid on September 19, denouncing "a clear step backwards regarding the protection of workers' social rights" implied in the future European working time directive. By doing this, Spanish MPs support the protest movement of Spanish and European trade unions against the draft. At the European level, Spanish MEP Alejandro Cercas is ready to give a rough ride to the draft directive adopted by the EU Ministers which will soon be examined on a second reading. (Ref. 080756)

The text adopted by the Spanish Parliament

on moving forward for the reconciliation of professional, private and family
