The European Commission will soon adopt a decision on the establishment of a committee of experts who will, notably, have to work on the development of a system of electronic information exchange (see our dispatch No. 080269) to facilitate administrative cooperation between the Member States and to ensure better enforcement of the directive on posted workers. This system could be based on the EESSI (Electronic Exchange of Social Security Information) model, which will be operational in 2009 or on the Internal Market Information system, IMI, already in force.
