On the eve of the "Forum on workers' rights and economic freedoms" organized by the European Commission today, October 9, the European trade union confederation (ETUC) repeated its request for a social progress clause in the EU Treaty. (Ref. 080763)
Clarify the link between social rights and economic freedom. Concerned about clarifying the relation between fundamental social rights and economic freedom, the ETUC wants the introduction of a social protocol in the EU Treaty. This request isn’t new. It follow the Viking, Laval, Ruffert and Commission v.
