After having announced, early March, the complete lift of restrictions for new EU workers who wish to work in Finland (see our article n°06127), the Finnish government is proposing a bill that would require these workers to register within 14 days upon their arrival on Finnish territory. The law would apply for 3 years. The official aim is to have more data on movements. Workers from other EU countries have 3 months to register, after their arrival. This measure comes after the recent decision to put a photo on residence and work permits. Also, last year, the government announced the reinforcement of inspectorate services.
