On 5 May, French MPs voted in favour of a bill aimed at protecting people undergoing medically assisted reproduction (MAR) or adoption from discrimination in the workplace. The bill, presented by the Ensemble parliamentary coalition was adopted unanimously without any amendments. The bill provides for protections similar to those already guaranteed in pregnancy, in terms of pay, promotion, assignment, training and protection against dismissal.
