The government has clarified the procedure for redeploying manpower abroad relating to redundancies based on economic grounds. Since the law was passed on growth and activity (Loi Macron), unless employees specifically request, employers no longer have to propose positions abroad as part of the job redeployment element relating to redundancy based on economic grounds. The decree clarifies the practical arrangements for this procedure.
Since the Loi ‘Macron’ (c.f. article No. 9187), the requirement to redeploy workers under redundancy conditions based on economic grounds is now limited to “positions that are available on national territory”, unless employees wish to avail of job offers located abroad.
