A plenary meeting to launch a consultation on the “transformation” of apprenticeships was held on 10 November, led by Muriel Pénicaud, Jean-Michel Blanquer and Frédérique Vidal, the ministers for employment, national education and higher education respectively.
Four working groups. The consultation brings together the various stakeholders when it comes to apprenticeships, including social partners and regions, which manage 51% of proceeds from the apprenticeship tax (around 1.5 billion euros in 2017). It is coordinated by Sylvie Brunet, who leads the labour and employment section of the Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CESE), and will take the form of working groups focusing on four themes.
