The new President of France, who was elected to the post on 7 May, has placed reforming the labour market among his first priorities.
Having been elected president, the legislative elections in June will decide whether Emmanuel Macron is able to govern or has to settle for presiding over the country without a majority in the Assemblée Nationale.
