France: Enedis grants salary supplements based on employees’ place of residence
In an agreement signed on 4 April 2025 with the CGT, CFE-CGC and FO trade unions, French electricity distribution grid operator Enedis pledged to introduce salary supplements (up to €200 per month) based on employees’ income and the cost of living in the areas where its sites are located. The subsidiary of utility multinational EDF wants to retain its employees at a time when it is facing unprecedented recruitment needs.
