The Michelin Group today announced the closure of its Cholet and Vannes sites (1,254 employees), which have been facing major economic difficulties for several years as a result of the “structural transformation of the passenger car and light truck tyre market and the deterioration in Europe’s competitiveness”, according to a press release.
