On 12 December, the French government announced a 1.18% increase in the minimum wage, taking effect on 1 January 2026. The pay level will rise from €1,802 to €1,823 gross per month (for 35 hours) and from €11.88 to €12.02 gross per hour. In the department of Mayotte, it will be set at €1,415 gross per month and €9.33 per hour, an increase of 3.90%. Finally, the guaranteed minimum amount, which is used to calculate certain benefits in kind, such as meal and transport costs, will be increased to €
