On 17 December 2015, Sherpa announced that together with Indecosa-CGT it was bringing a summons to Samsung Electronics France (SEF) as well as Samsung in Korea to appear before the tribunal at Bobigny France on grounds of misleading commercial practices. Following the dismissal of a complaint filed in 2013 the association, comprising legal experts and lawyers, is bringing a private prosecution which relies on new revelations and legal arguments in response to the initial rejection.
In a press statement released today 17 December 2015, the Paris based Sherpa association stated that “following a complaint that was closed in December 2014, with no further action to be taken, Indecosa-CGT and Sherpa are bringing a private prosecution against electronics giant, Samsung Electronics France (SEF) and Samsung in Korea to the legal tribunal at Bobigny France for misleading commercial practices.” The association added “the reliability of the contents in a China Labor Watch (CLW) rep
