France: together the Sherpa association and the consumer association Indocesa-CGT bring Samsung a summons to appear before the courts, on grounds of misleading commercial practices, following new revelations over child labor in China

On 17 December 2015, Sherpa announced that together with Indecosa-CGT it was bringing a summons to Samsung Electronics France (SEF) as well as Samsung in Korea to appear before the tribunal at Bobigny France on grounds of misleading commercial practices. Following the dismissal of a complaint filed in 2013 the association, comprising legal experts and lawyers, is bringing a private prosecution which relies on new revelations and legal arguments in response to the initial rejection.
