According to the publication Revue21, the employer contributions collection agency (URSSAF) has sent a 142-page document to the ride-hailing platform Uber demanding the sum of €1.7 billion. This amount corresponds to an adjustment of unpaid contributions for the employment of 71,000 drivers who worked between 2019 and 2022 in the Ile-de-France region. URSSAF considers this to be a disguised employment relationship, due to the platform’s power of management, control and sanction over these drive
