The first aim of the law is to end salary differences between men and women before December 31st, 2010, by obliging social partners to open negotiations, in branches and in companies. After a half-way evaluation, the government is managing itself a possibility to introduce a new drat law which would institute a social contribution penalizing those companies which did not open negotiations on this issue.
