Following the EWC's referral, the Tribunal of Paris must rule today to decide whether or not the board of directors must be postponed. The European works council has also asked for an expertise on the merger with Suez and has refused to give its opinion which is necessary to proceed the procedure. (Ref 061168)
The 30 workers’ representatives who are members of Gaz de France’s EWC have unanimously noticed that, regarding the plan to merge with Suez, there was a « flagrant insufficiency of information on the consequences for employment (…) and notably on the major risk of doubloons and its consequences on enrollments in both groups ».
