Germany’s collective bargaining year is coming to a close. Only the industrial cleaning and steelworks sectors still have to renegotiate wages and collective agreements before the end of the year. Beyond that a new phase of negotiations affecting 12 million employees for the 2015 – 2017 period will start. Centralized negotiations in the metals sector are scheduled for March 2016 and the chemicals sector negotiations are scheduled for July 2016. Healthy wage rises in the period 2014 – 2015.
