The Confederation of German Trade Unions (DGB) and the "grouping for temporary companies' collective interest" (IGZ) signed, on September 19, 2007, a wage agreement planning a 7.6% wage increase in average for the 238.000 employees working in the 1.100 companies affiliated with the iGZ. The agreement signed concerns almost 35% of the employees of the temp work sector and will come into effect on November 1, 2007. For unskilled employees working in Lander in former western Germany, minimum hourly wage is going from 7 euros at the moment to 7.21 euros on November 1, 2007, and then to 7.51 euros on November 1, 2008. For employees (West) with a degree or a training of a higher level, hourly wage will gradually go from 15.77 euros at the moment to 17.38 euros by November 1, 2008. T
