Germany’s interior minister Alexander Dobrindt has announced plans to accelerate the professional integration of asylum seekers in Germany. “The best integration is the one that starts with the world of work,” he told the newspaper Bild am Sonntag. His ‘Sofort-in-Arbeit-Plan‘ project, which is expected to be presented to the cabinet in the coming weeks, will allow asylum seekers to take up employment without waiting for the asylum procedure to be completed.
