The Council of Ministers (Bundeskabinett) decided, Wednesday March 22, 2006, to extend for three years the transitional period during which workers of the new EU Member States (except for Malta and Cyprus) cannot come to work in Germany without authorization. The decision is final and will take effect on May 1, 2006. (Réf. 06277)
