Collective bargaining in the metalworking industry between the IG Metall union and the employers’ federation Gesamtmetall began on Wednesday 11 September in the districts of Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria and Saxony. The other territorial districts will join in the talks by 16 September. In all, 3.9 million employees are affected.
