tor Deutsche Telekom published its first detailed report on data protection. Its stated objective was to restore confidence. Alongside this, the German government agreed on the content of a clause relating to employee data protection, which will be included in the new version of the “Federal Data Protection Act”. (Ref. 090497)

In the first part of its report, the company recapped the various cases which shook the country last year. In May 2008, the operator acknowledged having tapped the phones
