Workers in the metal industry of Bade Württemberg went on strike for the first time this year, as a warning. German employees are allowed to organize short strikes, often a few hours a day, to influence negotiations between trade unions and managers. (Ref.06198)
During the night of February 28th to March 1st, almost 1000 people stopped working for a few hours at the Daimler Chrysler production site in Sindelfingen. Around 2000 people did the same thing in the morning, in several companies: Bosch, Coperion Werner& Pfleiderer, Behr und LTG Mailänder. These actions will continue throughout this week.
