kel administration introduced, on December 20, via a decree, sectoral minimum wage in the temporary sector. Starting on January 1, 2012, the sector’s approximately 900,000 employees will receive minimum wage – EUR 7.89 in western Germany and EUR 7.01 in the east. Negotiated by the social partners, it will apply to all temporary agencies operating in Germany, whether their headquarters are in Germany or abroad.
