On June 11, the GDL train drivers’ union announced that it had signed a collective agreement with Agilis, the private rail company based in Regensburg, Bavaria. It is the first time it signed an agreement with this company – and with a private rail company in Bavaria. In addition to a 2.7 percent wage increase on May 1, 2013, the union obtained a series of improvements for trainmen, who used to be represented by the majority rail union, EVG. (Ref. 130399)
