On Wednesday 15 February, Germany’s Federal Labor Tribunal presented its 2016 annual activity report. Problems surrounding minimum wage calculations (in excess of one hundred thousand cases) overwhelmingly dominated the German courts’ cases throughout the whole year. From amongst the new disputes, those linked to digitalization have started to emerge.
On Wednesday 15 February the Federal Labor Tribunal’s 2016 annual report was published and its results were unambiguous. In 2016 Germany’s most prevalent dispute centered around the universal minimum wage and how it is calculated. Without actually delivering any exact numbers the Tribunal reports in excess of one hundred thousand such cases.
