Polish employees at Tesla’s Gigafactory in Grünheide near Berlin announced at the end of August their intention to present their own list for the forthcoming works council elections. “We will not bite the hand that feeds us, but we will not remain silent,” they wrote in a leaflet. According to Tesla, the factory employs more than 150 nationalities, including around 2,000 Poles, the largest foreign group out of a total of 11,000 employees. “Why should only Germans sit on the works council?...
