Germany’s cabinet today approved the fourth ordinance to adjust the statutory minimum wage presented by labour and social affairs minister Hubertus Heil. The wage level will rise from €12 to €12.41 gross per hour on 1 January 2024, marking an increase of 3.42%. The figure will then rise to €12.82 gross per hour on 1 January 2025, a further increase of 3.3%. The ordinance, which implements the decision taken by Germany’s minimum wage commission on 26 June 2023, is due to come into force on 1 Jan
