The debate on the introduction of new devices to fight unemployment continues in Germany. The German right wing presented, at the beginning of week, a model of combined wages aimed at reintegrating the long-term unemployed in the labour market. (Réf. 06471)
The CDU-CSU proposes that the State pay 40 % of wages when a company hires a job-seeker older than 50 or younger than 25. This subsidy will apply for only two or three years and relate to wages up to 1600 euros a month (gross) for senior job-seekers and 1300 euros a month for youngsters. This regulation could also apply to temporary employment contracts.
