Germany: the drop in unemployment increase the workforce shortage and influences wage claims

Historical drop.  2.94 million jobseekers!  This figure was too good and the Minister of Employment and Social Affairs, Ursula von der Leyen couldn’t help but steal the thunder of the leader of the Federal Employment Agency, who traditionally announces unemployment figures.  It’s the lowest unemployment rate since November 1992, but it’s also the first time since 1945 that the country came out of a crisis with an unemployment basis lower than that of the previous crisis.  Indeed, after the years of full employment with the economic miracle and the 1973 crisis, Germany maintained a base of about 1 million jobseekers.  This base more than doubled after the 1980 crisis, increased in 1992, gone over the 4 million bar in 1997 and finally over 5 million in 2005.  thus, the current drop is historical from two points of view.  Experts plan that it should keep decreasing in 2011.
