…Germany: the IG Bau union wants to launch a strike in the building sector
For the first time since 2002, the German building sector, experiencing full growth, is about to face a difficult strike. On June 4, two building employers organizations in Low-Saxony and at the Schleswig-Holstein rejected once more the framework agreement concluded at the federal level, thus creating a split within the employers side. IG Bau, the building union, immediately signified that he would invite its member in both Landers to vote for a strike. The consultation's result will be known on June 16. (Ref. 070495)
