According to a survey published on 11April 2006 by the magazine Stern, 73 % of German employees and workers would leave the mandatory modes of retirement insurance and unemployment insurance if they had the possibility. According to this survey carried out by the Forsa institute, 68% of people believe the public insurance-retirement system is no longer “relevant”, nor “judicious”. An opinion shared by 75% of young people between 18 and 29. And one German out of two also thinks the unemployment insurance “is outdated”. But 40 % of them judge it “relevant”.
