After two warning strikes, the services' union Ver.di and Deutsche Post reached, on December 2, 2008, a wage agreement which ends a conflict which lasted for several months in two subsidiaries of the group, DHL Vertriebs GmbH und CO OHG and DHL Verwaltungs GmbH. In addition to a €200 single bonus for December,
the approximately 1.000 employees concerned will see
their wages increase of
3.8% on March 1, 2009, and again of 2.6% in April 2010. Weekly working time is
still the same – 38.5 hours. In exchange, employees who will work on Christmas and
New Year’s Eve won’t get compensatory resting days. “With this agreement,
we managed to avoid an increase in weekly working time. Besides, by April 2010,
