he Institute of Economic and Social Studies (WSI) of the Hans-Böckler foundation announced that collective agreements negotiated in 2009 will lead to average wage increases of 3%. Given the low inflation rate during the first 5 months of 2009, wage increase is real and the foundation’s experts think that it is a stabilizing and anti-deflationary economic factor.
