On the eve of the second round of wage negotiations in the metallurgy and electro technical sectors (3.3 million employees), on March 29, 2007, the sector's leaders calculated their offer for the first time since the beginning of the year. According to them, the offer is "exceptional" (a 2.5% raise and a 0.5% "economic situation bonus") and should enable a quick agreement.
