The Equality Act 2010, defines workplace harassment and in it stipulates that it is forbidden to attack a person’s ‘protected characteristics’, namely age, gender, origin, sex, disability, beliefs and religion and sexual orientation. Great Britain: a bill to ban unwanted behaviour at work
On 11 July, and via the Ten-Minute Rule Bill procedure, Labour MP for York, Rachael Maskell tabled the Bullying and Respect at Work Bill. Several parties are backing this bill that aims to denounce and track down this specific form of harassment at work.
