Great Britain: BCC launches a new national employers’ organisation
On 05 June and amid a series of scandals and allegations over an abusive corporate culture and senior management misconduct (including sexual harassment, assault, and rape) at the CBI (Confederation of British Industry, founded in 1965 by royal charter) that continues to rock what is said to be the UK’s largest business lobby group, the BCC (British Chambers of Commerce network of accredited business chambers representing all sectors regions and business sizes and founded in 1860) announced it was launching a brand new national cross-cutting, employers' representative body called the Business Council.
