Paternity leave. Fathers whose babies are born on or after 3 April 2011 now have the right to take up to 26 weeks, in addition to the two usual weeks (if the mother goes back to work, see our dispatch No. 110035). The first three months of the leave will be paid £128.73 (€147) a week while the remaining three months will not be compensated. To be entitled, employees have to have worked for their employer for 26 weeks by the 15th week before the baby is born.
