Employees at an Apple store located in Glasgow, Scotland, are the first in the Group’s UK branches to have obtained the right to be represented by a trade union. After several months of negotiations, the US giant eventually recognised the overwhelming employee vote in favour of joining the general GMB union.
The Apple employees who were working at the shop on 147 Buchanan Street, Glasgow; the number of whom has not been released, first presented their request for union recognition in the spring of 2022.
