The British Department of Work and Pensions has recently announced its intention to cooperate with insurance companies in order to better indemnify asbestos victims. Asbestos is the first cause of death linked to work in Great Britain. (Ref. 06514)

The government will further cooperate with the Association of British insurance companies, the Association of lawyers for victims of personal accidents, and the Department of Constitutional Affairs, in order to “ urgently identify the means to accelerate this compensation”.
